Stefanos Baros

Stefanos Baros has a diverse work experience in the energy and trading industry. Stefanos started their career as an intern at GE Energy Management in 2014. Stefanos then went on to work as a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2016 to 2018. After that, they joined MIT Energy Initiative as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from 2018 to 2019. Stefanos further expanded their research experience by working as a Researcher, Control and Optimization at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from 2019 to 2021. From 2021 to 2023, they served as a Trading Analyst at Boston Energy Trading and Marketing. Currently, they are working as a Trader at DV Trading LLC since 2023.

Stefanos Baros obtained their Diploma (Honors) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in the years 2006 to 2011. Following that, they pursued further education at Carnegie Mellon University, where they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2011 to 2012. Stefanos then continued at Carnegie Mellon University to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which they completed from 2012 to 2016.
