Dan Rowlands has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dan started their career at Marks and Spencer, where they worked in backstage operations, handling the opening and closing of the store and ensuring proper storage of goods. Dan then moved on to Pembertons Chocolate Farm as a tourism assistant, where they conducted guided tours and delivered presentations to visitors. Dan later joined Carmarthenshire County Council as a technical assistant, responsible for allocating and prioritizing customer service activities. Dan also served as an IT officer, handling laptop imaging and equipment ordering. Currently, Dan is working at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water as a project lead, overseeing the delivery and management of projects to improve waste water network performance and implement customer-focused processes. Overall, Dan has valuable experience in project management, customer service, and operations.

Dan Rowlands received a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Multimedia from Liverpool Hope University from 2008 to 2011. Dan then pursued a Civil Engineering degree, earning an HNC from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David between 2016 and 2018. In 2012 and 2013, they obtained a CCNA Exploration certification in Networking from Swansea University. Most recently, in 2021 and 2022, they participated in a Leadership Programme at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. Additionally, they obtained an APM Associate certification from the Association for Project Management in June 2023.
