Daniel Davies has a diverse work experience in various industries and organizations. Daniel is currently the Head of Regulatory Strategy at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since March 2015. In addition, they serve as the Chair at the Gwendoline and Margaret Davies Charity since November 2018.

Previously, Daniel has held positions at 3D Consulting UK as a Director, where they provided strategy and leadership development consulting services. Daniel's career began as an Analyst at BP, where they worked until 2003.

Daniel Davies completed their Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Cambridge between the years 1995 and 1998. Daniel then pursued further education at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where they obtained a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from 1998 to 2004. Additionally, Daniel Davies earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University in the year 2003.
