Heulyn Gwyn Davies started their work experience in 2004 as a Principal Officer at The Electoral Commission. From there, they worked at Royal Mail as a Senior Welsh Affairs Manager from 2007 to 2010, and then as the Head of External Relations, England & Wales from 2010 to 2012. Heulyn Gwyn joined Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water in 2012 as the Head of External Relations, and later became the Head of Strategic Communications in 2015.
Heulyn Gwyn Davies started their education at Ysgol Gyfun Maes-yr-Yrfa, where they studied from 1991 to 1998. Heulyn Gwyn then attended Aberystwyth University from 1998 to 2001, earning a BA (Hons) I degree in Welsh and History. In 2001, they pursued further education and obtained an MSc. Econ degree in Politics from Aberystwyth University. In 2002-2003, they attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism. Continuing their education, they enrolled in the Public Service Management Wales program from 2009 to 2010, focusing on leadership and collaboration and earning a Postgraduate Diploma (Distinct.). In 2014, they attended Cranfield School of Management for the General Management Programme. Heulyn Gwyn Davies's most recent educational experience was in 2017 at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they studied Regulation in the Utilities Sector.
