Meryl Soper

Meryl Soper has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Meryl started their career in the Royal Air Force as a WRAF from 1986 to 1990 before transitioning to a Marketing Executive role at Citizen Europe Ltd in 1990. In 1991, they joined the Army Intelligence Corps as an Operations Clerk until 1994. Meryl then worked in various temporary roles as a Personal Assistant before joining Xerox UK Ltd as an HR Executive from 1995 to 2006. Meryl then served as a Human Resources Manager at ConvaTec from 2006 to 2012, where they partnered with different business areas to handle employee relations and managed various programs such as performance improvement and redundancy. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Claremont Consulting as a Recruitment Consultant and later as an RPO Recruitment Manager. Currently, Meryl is working at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, where they held the role of HR Business Partner from 2015 to 2016 and then became the Head of Organisational Effectiveness until 2021. Meryl currently holds the position of Head of Human Resources Operations.
