Paul Barreto

Paul Barreto has extensive experience in engineering, project management, and commercial management. Paul worked at Atkins for over 18 years, where they held various roles including Asset Manager - Renewable Energy and Design Manager for Car Parks - Dubai Metro. At Atkins, they managed the design of offshore wind farms, asset enhancement works on offshore structures, and led asset integrity management for renewable energy generation assets. In their role as Design Manager for Car Parks - Dubai Metro, they oversaw the design of multi-storey park-and-ride systems integrated with the Dubai Metro rail stations. Paul also has internship experience at ExxonMobil, IberAfrica Power, and Kenya Airways. Paul is currently working as the Head of Outcome Delivery at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.

Paul Barreto's education history includes a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002.

Following that, they pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Advanced Corporate Finance and Private Equity, from London Business School. Paul attended this program from 2017 to 2019.

In 2019, Paul Barreto also took a Financial Modelling Masterclass in Renewable Energy (Solar) at London Business School.

In terms of certifications, they obtained The IAM Certificate from The Institute of Asset Management in August 2020. Earlier, in January 2007, they earned the Chartered Engineer designation from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Additionally, Paul obtained the Association for Project Management Practitioner Qualification (IPMA Level C) in June 2013 from the Association for Project Management.
