David Mulligan

David Mulligan is the current Chief Financial Officer at DX Delivery. Prior to this, they were Group CFO and Company Secretary at Hornby Plc from May 2016 to December 2017. There, they were responsible for the turnaround of the business following significant trading losses and historic operational issues. Some of their key achievements include securing £20m equity placing in two tranches and £10m bank refinancing of the business, reducing stock from £13.5m to £9.5m, selling residual properties to raise £3m cash to strengthen the balance sheet, rationalising the product range to focus on profitable lines, reorganising European operations reducing overall headcount by 20%, closing unprofitable Concessions sales channel, dealing with activist shareholder and requisitioned general meeting (RGM), and issuing two circulars responding to RGM and mandatory offer for the business.

Before working at Hornby Plc, Mulligan was Municipal FD at Shanks plc from August 2013 to December 2015. Before that, they were Group CFO at Morgan Sindall Group plc from December 1997 to April 2013. David started their career as Assistant Financial Controller - Industrial Division at Smiths Group plc from May 1996 to December 1997.
