Rick Maxa

Rick Maxa started their work experience in 1989 as the Director of Sales for DXP Enterprises, Inc. Rick was responsible for industrial distribution to manufacturing industries across New York state and the USA. Rick emphasized cutting tools, abrasives, material handling, safety, coolants, pumps, bearings, and power transmission. In 2004, they became an Owner/Partner of Market St. Lofts LLC, where they purchased a vintage property in the Historic District of Corning, NY. Rick also served as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Corning's Gaffer District. Additionally, Rick Maxa owned Bottles & Corks Wine & Spirits starting in 2001. Rick served as the Board Chair for the Corning Area YMCA from 2010 to 2015 and as a Board Member for the Corning Children's Center from 2005 to 2013. Rick also held the position of Board Chair for the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2010. Finally, Rick Maxa was a Member of the Board of Directors for the Science and Discovery Center from 2001 to 2005.

Rick Maxa earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Ceramic and Glass Science and Engineering from Alfred University, Alfred NY in 1976-1980. Rick also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from the same institution during the same period.
