Mahmoud Darweash's work experience began in 2003 when they attended Benha University as a student and continued until 2007. After completing their education, they worked as a Software Engineer at Telecomax Group from 2007 to 2008, and then as a Systems Engineer at Click ITS from 2008 to 2009. Mahmoud then joined NETWiSE Software as a Solutions Architect in the Mobile Solutions Division from 2010 to 2012.

In 2011, Mahmoud became a Part-Time Academic Teacher at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport until 2012. Following this, they joined Skymind Global Limited in 2020 as the VP R&D and Solutions Design. At Skymind, they managed a team of 250+ engineers across four countries and played a key role in transitioning the company from focusing solely on AI to also developing AI/IoT products. Mahmoud remained with Skymind until July 2022.

In 2012, Mahmoud took on a new venture and founded Qoudra, where they served as a Founding Partner and Technology Head. Qoudra aimed to support upcoming startups by forking six startups and making investments in one. Some of these ventures were successful, while others provided valuable learning experiences.

Most recently, in 2023, Mahmoud joined DXwand as the Chief Technology Officer, taking on a leadership role in the company.

Overall, Mahmoud Darweash has gained a diverse range of experiences in technology, leadership, and academia throughout their career.

Mahmoud Darweash began their education in 2003 at the Faculty of Engineering, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Geo informatics and survey engineering. Mahmoud completed this program in 2007. In 2009, Darweash enrolled at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport to further their studies. During their time there, they earned a Diploma in Computer Science, which they completed in 2010. Seeking to enhance their expertise, Darweash pursued an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Bluetooth Networking & Swarm Intelligence from the same institution, which they completed in 2013.
