David Gogel (古大卫)

Vice President, Strategy & Operations at dYdX Foundation

David Gogel's work experience begins in 2016 as Co-President of Wharton FinTech. David then became a Corporate Development MBA Intern at LinkedIn in 2017. In 2018, they worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Venture One. In 2019, they founded their own company, GogelX LLC, and served as its Founder and CEO. David also advised Paperchain and worked as the NYC Founder & Co-Curator at RelayNode. In the same year, they joined Techstars as a Blockchain Business Associate. In 2020, they worked as a Growth Lead at dYdX before transitioning into roles at The Wharton School as a Senior Fellow for the Wharton Blockchain & Digital Asset Project and at dYdX Foundation, where they currently serve as Vice President of Strategy & Operations.

David Gogel (古大卫) pursued their education in a variety of institutions and fields of study. David began their academic journey at Ecole Active Bilingue Jeannine Manuel, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate degree from 1993 to 2008. Moving forward, they joined the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business and The Wharton School simultaneously in 2008. David completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) Honors in Finance from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business in 2012.

Continuing their educational endeavors, David attended Tsinghua University in 2011, where they studied Finance and Chinese for a brief period. David subsequently returned to The Wharton School in 2016 and graduated with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, David Gogel also pursued specialized certifications. David completed an online certificate course in Fintech: Future Commerce from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. Later on, in 2018, they obtained a certification in Blockchain: Foundations and Use Cases from Coursera. Moreover, David acquired the Series 65 certification from FINRA in December 2020.
