Scott Cook

Dr. Scott Cook is the current President of Dyersburg State Community College, a position held since January 2022. Previously, Dr. Cook served as Provost at Madisonville Community College from March 2018 to December 2021. With extensive experience at Motlow State Community College from 2006 to 2018, Dr. Cook held various roles, including Vice President for Quality Assurance and Performance Funding, SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, Honors Program Director, Professor of History, and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. Additional teaching roles include adjunct positions at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Georgia Military College, Columbus State University, Nashville State Community College, and Motlow State Community College. Dr. Cook's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on History from Tennessee State University, a Master of Liberal Studies in Humanities from Fort Hays State University, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University, and an Associate of Science in History, Political Science, and Psychology from Motlow State Community College.
