Shawna Adams

Associate Professor at Dyersburg State Community College

Shawna Adams is an experienced educator and wildlife animal programmer with a strong background in biology and education. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Dyersburg State Community College since July 2017 and as the Director of the NW TN STEM Innovation Hub since January 2020, Shawna also holds a position as a Wildlife Animal Programmer at NHECM Animalogy since April 2015. Prior roles include a Biology and Chemistry Teacher at Bradford Special School District from July 2007 to July 2017 and a Veterinary Technician at Bluegrass Animal Healthcare from June 2001 to July 2012. Shawna's academic achievements include a Doctor of Education degree obtained from Murray State University between 2020 and August 2022, a Master of Science in Biology from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
