Herbert Workel

Herbert Workel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Herbert currently holds the position of CFO at Dynamo Retail Group B.V. since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as CFO at Prominent from December 2018 to March 2021. Earlier in their career, they worked as CFO at BEEQUIP, an equipment leasing company, from July 2015 to December 2018.

Herbert also has experience as the Owner & Managing Partner of Family Fun Travel, a travel company catering to families, from March 2010 to September 2015. Before that, they worked as VP Finance & CFO at Wessanen Nederland bv, a subsidiary of Royal Wessanen, from May 2008 to February 2010. Herbert played a key role in managing finance, logistics, order entry, purchasing, and IT.

Prior to their role at Wessanen Nederland, Herbert served as Director Finance & Logistics at Bolton Nederland from February 2005 to April 2008, leading a team of 10 employees. Herbert also worked at Bolton Group as a Group Controller from May 2003 to February 2005, responsible for controlling European subsidiaries and improving financial results.

Herbert's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Consultant at KPMG Consulting from April 2000 to May 2002 and as a Business Controller at Schiphol Real Estate from April 1999 to April 2000, where they managed accounting, financial reports, and implemented new financial systems.

Before starting their professional career, Herbert spent a year traveling from May 2002 to May 2003.

Herbert Workel pursued their education in a chronological manner as follows. Herbert began their educational journey at Grundel from 1985 to 1991, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Following this, Workel attended the University of Groningen from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a Drs degree in Economics. Later, they furthered their education at the University of Groningen from 1997 to 1999, earning a Post Graduate degree in Chartered Accountancy.
