Role Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst (BA) is a highly visible position within the Client Services department and an ideal fit for candidates who are interested in the intersection of finance and technology.  The Senior BA bridges the gap between investment and software professionals by providing subject matter expertise and experience. The Senior BA works as part of a team of Project Managers, Client Success Managers and Support Representatives in the implementation, delivery, and support of our clients using Dynamo, a Cloud-based investment management and reporting solution.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Client Implementations: Manage multiple client implementations concurrently, ensuring alignment with Dynamo project management guidelines.
  • Financial Subject Matter Expert: Lead the implementation for portfolio management clients and other financial based projects. This involves accurately recording historical financial data, performing performance and exposure analysis, configuring client ownership hierarchies, preparing client reports, and addressing ad-hoc client requests.
  • Collaboration with Product Management and R&D: Work closely with Product Management and Research & Development teams to enhance product features based on valuable client feedback.
  • Liaison Between Clients and Internal Teams: Serve as a bridge between clients’ front, middle, and back offices, and our internal Development teams. Translate investment industry best practices into practical software solutions.
  • Database Migration and Reconciliation: Migrate and reconcile clients’ databases across various product modules. Utilize SQL, Excel, and Dynamo Custom tools for efficient data management.
  • Client Requirements and Quality Assurance: Gather client requirements and conduct quality assurance for custom reports and workflows.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with our valued customers.

What you bring:

  • Experience working in the financial services industry, specifically the alternative assets space is preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of both liquid and illiquid investment analysis and performance reporting.

  • Private Equity Partnership Accounting and Portfolio Accounting principles and fundamentals.

  • General knowledge of database structure that allows for quick understanding of data migration tools and processes.

  • Technical Skills: proficient Excel and beginner to intermediate SQL.

  • Progress towards advanced financial designation (CFA, CAIA, CPA) or MBA strongly preferred.
