Steve Rowland

Steve Rowland’s 20+ years of experience spans technology organizations in various high-growth stages across the globe. He has served as Okta’s (Nasdaq: OKTA) Chief Revenue Officer since March 2021. Before this role, he served as Vice President, Americas Sales at Splunk (Nasdaq: SPLK), from August 2019 to March 2021. Prior to joining Splunk, he served as President at DataStax, from October 2015 to August 2019. In addition, he served as Senior Vice President of worldwide field operations at Apigee, from June 2012 to October 2015. In this role, he helped lead the company through a successful IPO, and later an acquisition by Google. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Field Operations for the Americas and Asia Pacific at Blue Coat Systems, from September 2007 to June 2012. He also served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Workbrain Corporation, from June 2006 to June 2007, leading to a successful acquisition by Infor. From August 1998 to June 2006, he held various leadership roles at BMC Software. Mr. Rowland holds a B.S. from Texas A&M University.
