Joshua Wilde

Scientist II, Computational Science at Dyno Therapeutics

Joshua Wilde is a scientist who currently works in product development at Dyno Therapeutics. Joshua has also worked as a data science intern and a graduate research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to that, they worked as an asset allocation research analyst and associate at Fidelity Investments.

Wilde has a background in designing optimization formulations for candidate selection of AAV variants with the goal of finding best-in-class capsids for gene therapy. Joshua has also demonstrated the diversification potential of these formulations, achieving up to a 15% decline in selection of known patented variants compared to existing methods while maintaining comparable variant fitness. In addition, they have created a custom Monte Carlo tree search biological sequence design algorithm and demonstrated its ability to find unique peak sequences in simulated landscapes.

Joshua Wilde completed their undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Quantitative Economics. Joshua then went on to earn their PhD in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
