Simon Roth

Simon Roth has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Simon is currently the Head of Risk Management and a member of the executive team at E. Gutzwiller & Cie, Banquiers since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Risk Management and Fund Administrator, as well as a member of the management team at Gutzwiller Fonds Management AG from February 2015 to December 2022. Simon also had a Zivildiensteinsatz role at Altersheim Mülheim Sissach & Stiftung Werkteam Höisten from September 2014 to January 2015. Before that, they worked as a Client Manager for KMU Clients at UBS AG – Corporate & Institutional Clients from August 2012 to August 2014. Simon also gained experience as an Assistant Professor at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW - Institut Spezielle Pädagogik und Psychologie from April 2011 to June 2012. Simon has also worked at UBS AG as an Operations Product Specialist for Hedge Funds from September 2010 to March 2011, and at Felix Platter-Spital Verwaltung as a Zivildiensteinsatz from January 2010 to August 2010. Simon's earlier professional experience includes holding various positions at Bank Coop AG from August 2005 to April 2010.

Simon Roth has a comprehensive education history. In 2021-2022, they attended the University of St.Gallen, where they pursued a CAS Internal Auditing degree with a focus on Governance, Risk, Control/Compliance. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2019, they studied at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, obtaining an MAS Corporate Finance CFO degree in the field of Corporate Finance. Simon also holds a Bachelor of Science in Betriebsökonomie from the same university, which they completed in 2015 through a part-time program. In 2012-2014, they obtained a Certified Corporate Banker CCoB certification from the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ). Additionally, Simon earned an Eidg. Berufsmaturität (BMS2) degree in 2009 from Berufsfachschule KV Basel and a Bankkaufmann E-Profil degree in 2008 from the same institution. Simon holds several certifications, including Diplôme de français professionnel (Secrétariat B2) and Cambridge ESOL Level 1 Certificate (First Certificate) obtained in 2009, Certificate de français professionnel (2ème degré) obtained in 2008, and the European Foundation Certificate in Banking obtained in 2008 from the European Foundation for Business Qualification (EFBQ).
