Desalegn Alemu Mengistie

Desalegn Alemu Mengistie, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist at E Ink Corporation since April 2022, with extensive experience in materials engineering, particularly in polymers, biopolymers, bionanocomposites, and textiles. Desalegn previously held positions as a Senior Materials Engineer at Cove PBC, a Researcher and Lecturer at California Polytechnic State University, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at both Linköping University and Chalmers University of Technology. Notable contributions include the development of novel materials for electrocardiography monitoring, nanocellulose extraction, and conductive polymer composites for energy applications. Desalegn also has academic experience as an Assistant Professor at Bahir Dar University and as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, with a strong educational background that includes a PhD in Nanoscience and Technology from National Tsing Hua University and a Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
