Rand Shamas

Rand Shamas has a diverse work experience in IT infrastructure and security. Rand is currently working at E.L.F. Beauty as the Associate Director of IT Infrastructure & Security. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure & Security at the same company. Before joining E.L.F. Beauty, they worked at FormFactor Inc. as a Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure & Security, where they designed and implemented strategic plans for infrastructure capacity. Rand also has experience at ForeScout Technologies Inc. as an IT Operations Manager and Systems Administrator. Rand'searlier roles include working as a Systems Administrator at San Mateo Credit Union, an IT Coordinator at Connex Credit Union, and a Technical Support Specialist at Eastman Kodak Company.

Rand Shamas earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity Operations and Leadership from the University of San Diego between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, between 1999 and 2001, they attended Southern Connecticut State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Information Systems. Before their bachelor's degree, from 1997 to 1999, they attended Gateway Community Technical College and received an Associate degree in Science and Computer Science Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Rand Shamas has obtained certifications in the field. In April 2021, they became an Okta Certified Professional through Okta, Inc. Furthermore, in October 2022, they completed the "Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets" certification course provided by Wharton Online.
