E.L. Haynes Public Charter School
Maritza Rosas has extensive experience in mathematics education, currently serving as a High School Math Teacher at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School since February 2019. Concurrently, Maritza works as an Adjunct Faculty member at Montgomery College, where responsibilities include providing quality learning experiences and adhering to institutional policies. Previous roles include Math Coach at The SEED School of Maryland and Math Teacher at SEED Public Charter School of Washington DC, where Maritza taught advanced courses such as AP Calculus and Pre-Calculus. Early career experiences include teaching Algebra 1 at KIPP Academy Lynn and East Boston High School. Maritza holds a Master's degree in Mathematics Teacher Education from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Founded in 2004, the award-winning E.L. Haynes Public Charter School currently serves 1,200 students from grades Pre-K through 12. E.L. Haynes is named for Dr. Euphemia Lofton Haynes - the first African-American woman to receive a doctorate in mathematics and a DC public school teacher for 47 years.
