Samuel Miranda

Samuel Miranda is an accomplished educator and artist with extensive experience in teaching and arts education. Currently serving as a teacher at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School since August 2013, Samuel also maintains an active career as a self-employed artist, poet, and filmmaker. Previous roles include education consultant and instructional coach, where Samuel supported teachers in grades PK-8 and facilitated professional development. As an arts education coordinator for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, Samuel managed arts education grant programs. Prior teaching experience includes a tenure at Bell Multicultural High School, where Samuel also held positions as a literacy coordinator and administrator. Samuel holds an MFA in Poetry from Bennington College and a BA in English and Fine Arts from Georgetown University.
