Jonathan Davies has a diverse work experience in various scientific and technical roles. Jonathan is currently working as a Program Manager at E-magy since February 2023. Previously, from December 2018 to July 2022, they served as a Scientific Officer at the European Commission. Before that, they were the Chief Technical Officer and Project Director at E-stone Batteries from March 2016 to November 2017. Jonathan also worked as a Project Leader at Avantium from August 2014 to December 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Ilika Technologies Ltd, where they led commercial projects for high-profile industrial clients in the energy sector, focusing on the development of materials for fuel cells and batteries. Jonathan was employed there from July 2008 to January 2014. From April 2004 to March 2008, they served as a Scientific/Technical Officer at the Institute for Energy, Joint Research Centre, European Commission. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Professor and later as an Assistant Research Professor at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Catalysis, Danish Technical University from September 2000 to January 2004. Jonathan started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Southampton from May 1998 to August 2000.
Jonathan Davies completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton in the period of 1991 to 1994. Jonathan then pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a PhD in Chemistry from 1994 to 1998.
