Matthias Merz

Matthias Merz is an experienced professional in the fields of product management, data engineering, and IT consultancy, currently serving as Vice President ETL & Automation at E.ON Deutschland and Geschäftsführer at Bayernwerk Regio Energie GmbH. Merz leads teams of significant size, overseeing critical projects such as the development of a central product catalog for E.ON and various IT initiatives across multiple organizations. Previously held roles include Head of Insight & Steering at E.ON Digital Technology, where oversight was provided for BI and online management, as well as consulting positions focused on IT program management and technical leadership in energy sector projects. Additionally, Merz has academic experience as a lecturer in computer science at Campus M21 and holds a Diplom in Informatik from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
