Merritt's leadership has driven significant advancements, including the delivery of generative AI products that generated millions in business value and the introduction of a wellness strategy leveraging genetic testing. Managing a $650 million budget and a global team of 3,000, key accomplishments include modernizing policy administration platforms, enhancing digital transformation initiatives, and fostering a strong culture of collaboration and operational excellence. In addition to current roles at MassMutual, Sears Merritt serves as Interim CEO and Board Member at Haven Technologies, Board Member at Barings, Advisor at Antara Health, and previously founded On The Spot Sports. An MIT Sloan graduate with multiple degrees in engineering and computer science from the University of Colorado Boulder, Merritt possesses a robust background in data science, cloud migration, and technology strategy.
