Senior Firmware Developer at E-SMART Control

Jonathan Lécuyer L'Espérance has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jonathan began their career as a Customer Service Representative at Gestion Termico (AMT) from May 2009 to May 2010. Jonathan then worked as a Student IT Technician at Revenue Quebec from May 2010 to August 2010. Following that, they were an Engineering Intern at Electroline Equipment Inc. from April 2014 to August 2014, where they supported engineers in their daily tasks and programmed functions and utilities in C/C++.

In January 2015, Jonathan had an SQA Engineering Internship at Accedian Networks, where they specialized in performance assurance solutions for mobile infrastructure and SDN service providers. From March 2011 to January 2015, they worked as a Video Game Console Repair Technician at Gamezone Wellington, where they established repair services and learned to diagnose and fix common console problems.

Jonathan then pursued their academic career as an Electrical Engineering Student at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) from 2013 to August 2018.

After completing their studies, Jonathan joined E-SMART as a Software/Firmware Developer from May 2018 to September 2019. Jonathan was then promoted to Lead Firmware Developer from September 2019 to October 2021, where they were responsible for reverse-engineering transport technology and developing and maintaining E-SMART module firmware.

Currently, Jonathan is working at E-SMART as a Senior Firmware Developer from October 2021, where their responsibilities include firmware development, debugging, testing, and vehicle interface reverse-engineering.

Jonathan Lécuyer L'Espérance earned a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology with a specialization in Computer Systems from Collège de Maisonneuve. Jonathan attended this institution from 2009 to 2013. Jonathan then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Computer Science, at École de technologie supérieure from 2013 to 2017.
