Laura Strickler has a long and varied work experience. Laura began their career in 2000 as a Program Coordinator & Development Fellow at Management Sciences for Health. In 2004, they moved to Maple Leaf Foods Inc as a Manager, Corporate Leadership Development and was awarded the Maple Leaf Annual Award for their oversight of the company's Management Trainee Program. Laura then held a variety of roles at Maple Leaf Foods Inc, including Director, Human Resources, Consumer Foods Division, Director, Corporate Leadership Development & Succession Planning, and Human Resources Lead. In 2017, they moved to ADP as Director, Human Resources Operations and Director, HR Business Partner. Most recently, they joined e-Zinc in 2022 as Vice President, People & Culture.

Laura Strickler's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tufts University, which they obtained between 1996 and 2000. Laura then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, specializing in Organizational Development, HR and Strategy between 2002 and 2004. In 2012 and 2013, they completed a Certificate in Labour Relations from Queen's University.
