Owais Ahmed Amin-MEng

Owais Ahmed Amin-MEng has a diverse work experience in the field of energy storage and renewable energy. Owais began their career as an Application Engineer at Reon Energy Limited, where they successfully managed multiple EPC projects for solar installations. Owais then worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Growing Greener Innovations, where they collaborated with vendors and proposed solutions for multinational clients in the battery management technology field. Owais also completed a project internship at Easy Smart Grid in Germany, where they worked on SmartGrid Algorithms for Demands Side Management. Owais further enhanced their skills as an Application Engineer- Renewable Division at WESCO Distribution, providing technical design assistance for renewable energy projects. Currently, they are an Application Engineer at e-Zinc, a company focusing on energy storage technology using zinc metal. Overall, Owais has gained significant experience in project management, technical design, and collaboration with vendors in the renewable energy sector.

Owais Ahmed Amin-MEng completed their Master's in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Intelligent Energy Systems at the University of Alberta from 2018 to 2021. Prior to this, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, where they studied from 2013 to 2017.
