Cebisa Khwebulana has a diverse work experience spanning several years. They started their career in 2014 as a Health Journalist at Kartatizo marketing. In 2016, they worked as a Science Communicator at the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA). In 2017, they briefly worked as an Invigilator at MANCOSA. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Broadcast Media Scanner at Newsclip. In 2020, they joined e2f, Inc. as a Media Researcher and also worked as an Undergraduate Tutor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2021, they became a University Lecturer at WSU - Walter Sisulu University, and in 2022, they continued their journey as a University Lecturer at the University of Zululand.

Cebisa Khwebulana completed a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Management and Communication Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2009 to 2012. In 2015, Cebisa pursued a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Media and Cultural Studies at the same university for a year. Finally, from 2019 to 2020, Cebisa completed a Master of Social Sciences in Media and Cultural Studies, specializing in Communication and Media Studies, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
