Marguerite Behringer

Director of Research & Consulting at E9 Energy Insight

Marguerite began her career in environmental justice and conservation through campus recycling leadership and an undergraduate honors thesis on local grassland adaptation to climate change. After working as a Fellow under Hunter Lovins at Natural Capitalism Solutions, Marguerite shifted her focus to clean energy issues and innovative business models, especially related to local climate planning and GHG accounting. Marguerite worked with several Colorado nonprofits, climate action plan coalitions, circular economy projects, affordable housing advocates, and a LEED project coordinator prior to joining the E9 team in 2018, where she began to manage E9’s energy developer clients. Marguerite has a passion for systems-thinking and intersectional solutions to complex problems, including decarbonization of the grid and energy equity issues in the U.S. Marguerite holds a dual bachelors degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies, with certificates in Environmental Justice and Public Health.
