Shahid Zia has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Shahid is currently the Director and Head of the MEP Department at EA Consulting (PVT) Ltd since June 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the General Manager at Engineering Associates Pvt Limited in Dubai from January 2012 to May 2016. Shahid also served as the Head of the MEP Department at EA Consulting (PVT) Ltd in Pakistan from January 2004 to December 2011. Shahid Zia has held various principal and leadership roles in consulting engineering firms such as S.Z.Consulting Engineers in Pakistan, Innovators Consulting Engineers in Saudi Arabia, and Meinhardt (Paksitan) Ltd in Pakistan. Shahid began their career as a Design Engineer at Hellman & Lober Consulting Engineers in Los Angeles, USA in September 1989.
Shahid Zia completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology between 1981 and 1987. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University from 1987 to 1989.
