Digital Co-Ordinator, Learning Hub at Early Childhood Ireland

Máire Corbett is the Digital Co-Ordinator for the Learning Hub at Early Childhood Ireland. Máire has worked in the early childhood education field for over 20 years.

Máire started their career with the National Children's Nurseries Association in 2001 as an Advisory Team Leader. In this role, they provided support and guidance to early childhood educators across Ireland.

In 2014, Máire was seconded to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment to help develop a Practice Guide for Aistear (The Early Years Curriculum Framework) and Siolta (The National Early Years Framework for Quality). The Aistear Siolta Practice Guide is now used by early childhood educators all over Ireland.

Máire returned to Early Childhood Ireland in 2015 and took on the role of Digital Co-Ordinator for the Learning Hub. In this role, they create and curates online resources for early childhood educators.

Máire Corbett has a M.A in Integrated Provision for Children and Families from the University of Leicester, and an AMI Diploma in Montessori from AMI Montessori College in Dublin.

Their manager is Teresa Heeney, CEO. They work with Jacinta Sheerin - Membership Manager, Tracey Orpen - Early Childhood Administrator, and Liz Kerrins - Director of Research & Professional Learning.
