Philip Bayer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Philip is currently working as a Software Engineer at Early Works, since joining in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Google from 2018 to 2022, starting as a Creative Technologist and later becoming a User Experience Engineer. At Brown University, Philip served as a Research Assistant from 2016 to 2018, focusing on computer and neuroscience research, particularly in the development of deep-learning algorithms. Philip also had a software development internship at Microsoft in 2017. Philip gained early professional experience as an Intern at Loft, llc in 2015, and as part of the Belay Staff at Central Rock Climbing Gym in 2014. In addition, Philip worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut in 2013, conducting independent research on titanium alloys in a Materials Science lab.

Philip Bayer attended Glastonbury High School from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their High School Diploma. Following their high school education, from 2014 to 2019, Philip pursued a dual degree. Philip completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Brown University, and simultaneously obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Industrial and Product Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
