Josh Anderson

Josh Anderson has a diverse and extensive work experience. Josh started their career in 2006 as a Graduate Assistant at EdLab, Teachers College Columbia University, where they worked on web development, video production, video editing, music production, and motion graphics. During their time there, they revolutionized the user experience of an ajax-powered video CMS called afterEd.tv.

In 2012, Josh joined RTI International as a Programmer Analyst and was later promoted to the role of Liaison between International Education and Information, Communications & Technology groups. Josh created apps for both internal and external clients and conducted workshops on software engineering best practices and new tools.

In 2015, they founded their own company, Also Engineering, where they worked as a Founder and Software Engineer. Josh helped clients achieve their business goals through software development, primarily supporting Tangerine, an open-source literacy assessment app. Josh implemented psychometric testing features and guided the lead researcher in developing specifications and implementing an executive functioning test battery for children.

Currently, Josh works as the Director of Engineering at EarlyBird Education, a position they assumed in 2020.

Josh Anderson attended the School of General Studies at Columbia University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Josh successfully completed their education in 2011.
