CFO at Early Growth

Stephen Terry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Stephen started their career as a Product Manager and Field Representative at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation from 1991 to 1994. Stephen then worked at Goldman Sachs International as a Financial Analyst and later as an Associate in the Advisory Group and Communications, Media, and Technology Group from 1996 to 2001.

After leaving Goldman Sachs, Stephen joined the U.N. Industrial Development Organization as a Research Fellow in 2002. Stephen then moved on to become the CFO - Asia at Rhodia Energy Services Division, where they led a team in developing waste water treatment, biogas, and biomass projects across China and Southeast Asia from 2009 to 2010.

In 2003, Stephen became the CFO of Azure International, where they had various responsibilities, including corporate finance, operations, HR, accounting, reporting, internal controls, investments, and business development. Stephen also managed client relationships and partnerships with various organizations. Stephen stayed with Azure International until 2017.

From 2011 to 2021, Stephen worked as the CFO and Managing Partner at Azure Clean Energy & Environment Fund, a venture capital fund focused on investments in international environmental technology companies. Stephen played a crucial role in sourcing opportunities and successfully led investments into several companies.

In 2013, Stephen served as the Chairman of the Cleantech Forum at the American Chamber of Commerce, China. Stephen also had a stint as the Interim CFO at various technology companies from 2012 to 2017.

Currently, Stephen is working at Early Growth since 2017 as a CFO. And starting from 2022, they will take on the role of CFO at Wonders until 2023.

Stephen Terry received their Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991. Stephen also obtained several additional certifications, including the Chief Financial Officer Leadership Program from Udemy, the Growth Hacking Masterclass from Udemy, and various other certifications in web analytics, marketing, big data, and Salesforce CRM.
