Carsten Fiege

Carsten Fiege has a diverse work experience in the legal and investment banking sectors. Carsten was a Partner & Chief Operating Officer at EARNEST Partners since December 2022. Prior to that, they served as the General Counsel at EARNEST Partners since May 2015. Before joining EARNEST Partners, Carsten worked at William Blair & Company LLC as a Senior Counsel from October 2011 to April 2015. In this role, they were responsible for all day-to-day legal affairs of the investment banking business and supervised M&A and capital markets transactions. Carsten also worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as an Associate from September 2004 to September 2011, where they advised clients on corporate matters, corporate governance, securities laws, and corporate transactions.

Carsten Fiege pursued their education in various institutions. In 1995, they enrolled at the University of Konstanz and obtained a First State Exam, which is equivalent to a J.D. degree, in the year 2000. Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they completed a Law Clerkship at Baden-Württemberg State in Germany, where they received a Second State Exam, akin to passing the bar exam. Later in 2002, Carsten attended the University of Chicago Law School and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 2003.

In terms of additional certifications, Carsten acquired the FINRA Series 7, 79, and 63 - Securities and Investment Banking Representative credentials from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2011.
