Piyush Girgaonkar

Piyush Girgaonkar currently serves as the Head of Urban Affairs and SDG Partnerships at Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture while also holding positions such as Convener at the Indo-European Science and Arts Association, Youth Ambassador for EARTHDAY.ORG, and Director of Partnerships for the Confederation of Young Leaders - India. Extensive experience includes roles as an International Fellow at the International Metropolitan Institute and Founder of Plannogram, a social initiative aimed at fostering dialogue among urban planning students and professionals. Piyush's previous experience includes working as Senior Private Secretary to the Chairman of India’s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports, and research roles. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Urban Studies from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, a Master's degree in Housing and Human Environments from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and a Bachelor of Technology in Urban Planning from COEP Technological University.
