Laura M. Tyler

Laura M. Tyler is an experienced educator and specialist in science education with a diverse background in teaching and curriculum development. Currently serving as a School Specialist and Program Coordinator at EarthGen since September 2020, Laura previously contributed to Seattle Public Schools South Shore from September 2010 to September 2020 as an educator, leading science classes for middle school students and participating in the Next Generation Science Standards Adaption Committee. Earlier, Laura held the role of Science Resource Teacher at Seattle Public Schools, where collaboration on curriculum development occurred for third and fifth grades. Laura's career also includes nine years as the Washington MESA Curriculum Coordinator, focusing on lesson plan development and teaching middle school science and technology. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Washington and a Biology degree with a teaching certification from the University of Michigan.
