Maria Olender has a strong background in environmental research and geospatial analysis, currently serving as a GIS Researcher at Earthly since May 2023. Prior experience includes a Research Intern role that focused on voluntary carbon markets and geospatial data analysis, as well as a Remote Sensing and GIS Intern position at ForestSAT AS, where Maria contributed to the analysis of large fire events and the development of fire prevention tools. Earlier work at Ogród Pełen Lawendy involved social media management and marketing for a prominent tourism destination in Southern Poland, alongside roles in hospitality and environmental research support at Crowne Plaza Newcastle and ComfreyLab. Maria's academic credentials include an MSc in Remote Sensing and Environmental Mapping from UCL and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Newcastle University.
