Shilpa Iyer

Shilpa Iyer is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in environmental and development sectors. Currently serving as the Mekong Development Officer at EarthRights International, Shilpa manages grant portfolios and funding relationships focused on climate justice and corporate accountability in Myanmar and the Mekong region. Previous roles include City Liaison at Blue City Network, where Shilpa contributed to ocean conservation efforts, and Programme Management Intern at UNESCAP, supporting sustainable development initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. Shilpa's academic background includes a Master’s in Development Practice from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Davis. Additional experiences encompass teaching at UC Berkeley, managing grants at Asante Africa Foundation, conducting research for the Institute for the Study of Societal Issues, providing environmental consulting at Dudek, and researching water management in China with Easen International.
