Lyn Smith

LYN SMITH currently serves as the Supervisor of Counseling for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, a position held since April 2017, focusing on staff supervision, program development, crisis intervention, and student support, among other responsibilities. Prior to this role, LYN served as the District 504 Facilitator, ensuring compliance for students with disabilities, and has extensive experience in various educational and counseling roles, including as an Educator/School Counselor and a Mental Health Clinician. LYN holds a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the American Public University System, along with two undergraduate degrees from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge, one in Elementary Education and another in Business Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences/Child Development.
