Sharon Thomas

Sharon Thomas has served as an Elementary School Principal for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System since January 2010, overseeing instructional programs for grades K-5 and ensuring comprehensive education in subjects like science, literature, and math. Prior to this role, Sharon worked as the Elementary Programs Director at the Big Buddy Program from August 2003 to December 2009, providing positive role models and learning experiences for over 2,000 disadvantaged children in the Baton Rouge area. Sharon holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge (2015-2016) and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the same institution (2009-2010).
