Benjamin Lee

Benjamin Lee is an accomplished upright and electric bass player with extensive experience in performance and recording at OfficiaLee Productions since 2003. As a private bass teacher, Benjamin specializes in instruction for students at all levels, focusing on ear training, technique, theory, and musicianship. Current roles include serving as Teaching Faculty at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts and as Co-Founder of the EDBL Music Collective, which was established to generate new income streams for musicians following the challenges of the COVID pandemic. Benjamin also directs the TOaG Jazz Clinics at Oakland High School, providing hands-on training in jazz musicianship, and works as a Music Teaching Assistant at Oakland High School, where workshops emphasize key musical skills. Previous teaching experience includes a position at the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music and as a music teacher at the Academy of Creative Education. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC San Diego and has furthered education at Universidad de Belgrano.
