Theresa McDermit has a vast and diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Theresa is currently the Head of Brand at East Bay Community Energy since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Catalyst Strategies as a Consultant from 2016 to 2023, where they provided strategy and marketing consulting services to service and technology companies. Theresa also operated as an Independent Marketing Consultant from 2016 to 2023, offering their expertise on various projects. Before that, they served as the Head of Brand & Advertising at Atlassian from 2013 to 2016 and as a Strategic Consultant at Oracle in 2013. Theresa held leadership positions at Telwares as the Vice President of Marketing from 2011 to 2012 and at CSC, where they worked as the Director of Brand, Advertising & Digital Marketing and Director of Brand Marketing and Advertising from 2008 to 2011. Starting their career at Sandy Corporation as an Account Manager from 1995 to 1999, Theresa has steadily built a strong foundation of marketing and strategic expertise throughout their career.
Theresa McDermit holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Michigan.

East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local public electricity supplier in Alameda County and in the City of Tracy. EBCE is providing clean, green energy at low rates to our 635,000 customers. EBCE reinvests earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. EBCE member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by EBCE.
