Fred Greer

Fred Greer currently serves as the Police Sergeant and Chief Pilot of the Police Department Air Support Unit at East Bay Regional Park District, a position held since August 2021. Greer has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and aviation, beginning with roles as a Traffic Officer and Detective at Grass Valley Police Department. Greer has also worked for Cottonwood Police Department and held various positions, including Police Sergeant at Northern Arizona University. Internationally, Greer served as an International Police Officer for the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo. Prior experience includes significant roles in helicopter aviation, including Operations Manager and pilot at Sundance Helicopters Inc., and as a pilot for Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters. Greer holds certifications as a Certified Flight Instructor and has attained over 8,300 flight hours.
