Candace Linehan

Family Nurse Practitioner, Practice Lead at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center

Candace Linehan, NP-C, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Candace started their career in 1999 as an Emergency Medical Technician at Eascare Ambulance, where they served for five years. In 2004, they transitioned to Mount Auburn Hospital as a Registered Nurse. In 2005, Linehan joined the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Practice Lead, providing primary care and serving an urban, LatinX, immigrant population. During this time, they also held leadership roles as a medical staff representative to the health center Infection Control Committee and the family medicine operations working group. In 2019, Linehan became a Board Member at the Wakefield Board of Health.

Candace Linehan, NP-C, MPH completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Specialization in Marine Science at Boston University from 1998 to 2002. Candace then went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Regis College between 2002 and 2004. In 2004-2005, they obtained their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Regis College as well. Candace furthered their education at Boston University, where they completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Health Policy and Management from 2009 to 2011. In terms of certifications, they became a Nurse Practitioner-Certified (NP-C) through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in July 2005. Candace also obtained certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the State of Massachusetts in December 2020. Additionally, Candace holds the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Red Cross since May 2021. Furthermore, they were recognized as a Bilingual Provider in Spanish and Portuguese by Alta in 2021. Candace also became a Power User in Epic, an electronic health record system, in 2020. Lastly, they hold the Certified Specialist in Wine certification from the Society of Wine Educators.
