John Drake

John Drake is a distinguished academic and business leader with extensive experience in higher education and consulting. Since August 2011, John has held various faculty positions at East Carolina University, progressing from Assistant Professor to Professor. Prior to this, John served as an Assistant Professor at Eastern Michigan University and a Visiting Professor at Louisiana Tech University. John's early academic career included a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at Auburn University, where John earned a PhD in Management Information Technology and Innovation. In addition to academia, John has been the Chief Executive Officer of Drake Web Solutions since January 2015, focusing on online strategy for small and mid-sized businesses. John's foundational career included roles as an IT Developer, Operations Engineer, and educator at various institutions, complemented by a B.S. in Physics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
