Luke Davies

Luke Davies is an experienced professional in the railway industry, currently serving as the Interim Head of Safety and previously holding the roles of Operations Standards and Compliance Manager and Operations Standards Manager at East Midlands Railway since November 2019. Prior to this, Luke worked at Hitachi Rail Europe from November 2015 to November 2019 as a Senior Learning and Development Specialist, where responsibilities included leading a team and managing apprenticeship programs. Luke also held the position of Learning & Development Specialist (Operations), focusing on designing and delivering training programs aligned with industry standards. Earlier career experience includes working as a Learning and Development Specialist and Train Driver, Instructor, and Assessor at Tyne & Wear Metro/DB Regio from March 2010 to November 2015. Luke holds a BA in Archaeology from the University of Nottingham, obtained between 2006 and 2009.
