Ameenah Poole

Ameenah Poole is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Assistant Principal and Literacy Data Coach at East Orange School District since October 2017. Previously, Ameenah held the position of Literacy Data Coach at Cicely L. Tyson Community Middle/High School from October 2016 to September 2019 and worked as a Special Education Teacher within Newark Public Schools from September 2003 to October 2016. Ameenah has also imparted knowledge as an Adult Education Instructor for the Irvington Board of Education from October 2005 to June 2009 and served as a Special Education professional at All Can Excel Academy from October 2002 to August 2006. Ameenah's educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Saint Peter's University, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall University, an MA in Student Personnel Services from New York University, and a dual BA/BS in Africana Studies and Administration of Justice from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick. Ameenah Poole holds a high school diploma from Clifford J. Scott High School, completed in 1995.
