Jody Freed

Jody Freed has a diverse work experience in the field of special education. Currently, Jody is serving as the Director of Special Education for East Penn School District since May 2023. Prior to this, Jody worked as the Supervisor of Special Education in the same district from May 2021 to May 2023.

Before joining East Penn School District, Jody worked at Independence Charter School as the Supervisor of Specialized Services from June 2016 to May 2021.

Jody also has experience as a Special Education Teacher/10th Grade Case Manager at Mastery Charter Schools from June 2015 to June 2016.

Earlier in their career, Jody was a Special Education Teacher at Muhlenberg School District from August 2011 to July 2015. During this time, they were involved in various committees and tasks related to school improvement and teacher training.

Jody's work experience also includes being an Adjunct Instructor at Alvernia University from August 2006 to June 2010, where they taught classes on special education and assessed students' progress.

Prior to that, Jody worked as an Autistic Support Teacher at Hamburg Area School District from October 2005 to June 2008.

Additionally, Jody Freed obtained two certifications: one in Special Education Teaching Certification N-12 from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and another in Supervisor of Special Education K-12 from the Pennsylvania Department of Ed.
