Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Volunteer at East Tennessee Children's Hospital

Tahra Attar is a dedicated professional with experience in pediatric care and research. As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Volunteer and Child Life Volunteer at East Tennessee Children's Hospital from October 2020 to May 2024, Tahra contributed to the emotional and psychological well-being of young patients. At the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from March 2022 to May 2024, Tahra served as a Research Assistant in the Behavior and Learning Lab, where responsibilities included assisting with presentations and providing trauma-focused therapy to underserved children. Additionally, Tahra held the role of Student Ambassador, showcasing the university to prospective students, and was selected as Executive Vice President of Kappa Delta Sorority, earning the Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award and Scholarship in 2023. Other notable experiences include a research assistantship at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and organic chemistry tutoring. Tahra is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a focus on Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies, set to graduate in May 2024.
